CROCODILE FARM and LION PARK:
Croc City farm provides the opportunity to observe one of the world's most spectacular predators at close range.
Facilities: tea garden, curio shop with a wide variety of croc-souvenirs, as well as vacuum-packed crocodile meat. You can taste some croc-meat for lunch (R40-R70, depending on the portion size you take).
Saturday and Sunday: feeding program, 14.00h.
Open 7 days a week.
Game drive in our own vehicle in the Lion Park.
The Lion Park is situated in Gauteng Province, near Johannesburg and Pretoria and is home to over 80 lions including the rare white lions and many other carnivores such as cheetah, wild dog, brown and spotted hyena and black backed jackal and a wide variety of antelope which roam freely in the antelope area.
First of all you can ‘interact’ with some of the cubs, which means you can really play with lion cubs. There is also a giraffe feeding platform and you are more then welcome to take photographs. After that we will go on a game drive in our own bus and will have a close look at all animals, such as white lions, hyenas, wildebeest, springbok, blesbok, gemsbok, zebra and giraffe.
AFRICAN MARKET, Chameleon Village:
For all your friends and family back home: a nice souvenir from the African Market. Here you can negotiate for your bargain.

CULLINAN DIAMOND MINE:
diamond mine surface tour at the oldest operating diamond mine in the world.
On our way to Cullinan we drive through the beautiful Dinokeng area. The Blue IQ-team has started to improve the infrastructure of this area and is busy to make fences around it, to bring the Big 5 in. The Big 5 = lion, African elephant, African or Cape buffalo, leopard and (black and white) rhinoceros. Dinokeng is an upcoming area for tourist and nature lovers.
Cullinan looks like an open air museum. You’ll find a display of mining equipment, small shops -with exhibitions and souvenirs- and lovely restaurants.

We will drive to Cullinan’s big hole (4 times as big as Kimberley’s; 1 km long, ½ km wide and ½ km deep). This is the place where the biggest diamond in the world is found.
We are sure you will enjoy the guided surface tour (no persons younger then 10) and Rosy Blue, where diamonds are being cut and polished at the source. Take your time to buy diamonds from a large variety of diamonds of different shapes and colours; quality Tanzanite pieces as well as white and yellow gold and platinum jewellery at Cullinan Diamonds. You can also take a guided mine tour of 4-5 hours. Dressed like a miner you go deep in this mine. Because of the duration this is on a separate day trip. Price on request.

Tswaing, ‘Place of Salt’,
is a 1946-hectare conservation area in Gauteng, 40 km northwest of Pretoria.
About 220 000 years ago a meteorite slammed into the earth's crust. The impact formed a crater of 1,4 km in diameter and 200 m deep. It is one of the best-preserved terrestrial meteorite impact craters anywhere in the world. Other important craters in Southern Africa are Roter Kamm, Kalkkop, Morokweng and the Vredefort Dome.

Visit the Maropeng Visitor Centre and go down in
the world famous Sterkfontein Caves:
STERKFONTEIN CAVES are most famous for the two world renowned hominid finds, namely Mrs Ples in 1947 and Little Foot in 1997. Since excavations at the site first began, hundreds of hominid fossils as well as stone tools have been found at Sterkfontein. The excavation of Little Foot and other fossils is an ongoing process at this still active fossil dig.
Dr Robert Broom and his assistant, John Robinson, discovered the skull of Mrs Ples, buried at the Sterkfontein Caves. Discovered in the mid-1990s, Little Foot is still lying in situ in Sterkfontein, while palaeontologist Prof Ron Clark painstakingly excavates him from his final resting place. Once uncovered, he will yield invaluable clues about how and why we developed as a species over the past five million years. The find of this almost complete australopithecine is perhaps the most important hominid discovery ever made.
In the MAROPENG VISITOR CENTRE you can enjoy a journey on an underground lake, through the elemental forces –water, air, fire and earth– dipping through waterfalls and real icebergs, into the eye of a storm, past erupting volcanoes and through the depths of the earth and emerging at the beginning of the world. From here, the journey continues through an experience highlighting the history of our world and humankind as a species, brought to life via audiovisual techniques, evocative sound effects, theme-park technology and theatrical displays. There are also real fossils on display at the visitor centre.
